Maribeth has painted most of her adult life, but recently started working in alcohol inks. "I love the vibrancy and spontaneity of alcohol inks. Much like watercolor, the inks can be controlled and manipulated, but I usually let them take the lead, then I'll jump in and manipulate them to develop my subject."
Maribeth studied art at Wright State University in Ohio, University of Texas Arlington and Northwest Florida State University. Moving often as a career Air Force Officer's wife, Maribeth was given the opportunity to study with many accomplished artists around the country including Barclay Sheaks, Zoltan Szabo, Jane Nelson and most recently with alcohol ink artist Karen Walker. Maribeth also works in oils, watercolor, pastels and encaustics.
